Journal of Economic Studies in Literature(JESL) (Print ISSN: 3107-3492; Online ISSN: 3107-3506) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. JESL publishes two issues each year in both Chinese and English.

The research field of Journal of Economic Studies in Literature focuses on the theoretical construction and practical exploration of literary economy research against the background of the integration of cultural industry upgrading, digital economy development and cross-field industrial convergence, covering core areas such as the interactive mechanism between literature and economic development, the industrialization path of literary works and value realization, the impact of digital economy on literary creation, communication and consumption, literary consumption behavior and market operation rules, the economic value evaluation system of literary resources, the development of literary cultural and creative industries and industrial chain construction, the cross-border integration of literature and other economic fields (such as cultural tourism, media, education), the comparative study of literary economy at home and abroad, as well as the policy research and institutional improvement of literary economy development. It is committed to revealing the inherent laws and development trends of literary economy in the new era, exploring innovative experiences and practical paths in the integration of literature and economy, expanding the theoretical boundaries and application scenarios of literary economy research, and providing a high-level academic exchange platform for promoting the high-quality development of the literary and cultural industry, realizing the organic integration of literary value and economic value, strengthening the theoretical guidance for literary economy practice, and facilitating academic innovation and industrial upgrading in the field of literary economy.
JESL is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
